Literacy Autobiography Remix

In case you may ask yourself, "What is a remix?" I have that answer for you.

A remix is a different form of writing that is used through another medium. For example something that relates with your paper in a music video form, an interview form, lyrics, a picture it could be anything that is through a different medium.

This song that I decided to pick for my remix really relates to my Literacy Autobiography.  If you listen to the lyrics, it sends the message that when your down and your alone, get back up on your feet, and keep holding on. Its repetitive through the song, and at times you feel yourself getting stronger, and then it all goes out the door again and then you feel weaker. This song relates to my Literacy Autobiography because when in school, in sixth grade for example I had some struggles. I was placed in that extra help class, and I felt that nobody else was. I felt alone at times, and I thought maybe next year I can finally be out. Seventh grade came around, I did not get out of that class. I was continuing to hold on, and know that one day I can be out of this class, and I will prove to myself that I am on the same level as everybody else. The time I spent in that two years of extra help class, I always thought that I am not a quitter. This song shows that you will stand, and get back up on your feet not give up and thats what exactly I did. As eighth grade came around, I was not placed in that extra help class. It felt great that at times, I was so aggravated and just did not want to deal with it anymore, but I know I am a hard-worker, and I made sure to keep up my good work. The good work obviously paid off. In the end to, I did come to realize that having that class was not so bad, it was actually beneficial. It was just extra hands, and its good that I was able to have that opportunity. Sometimes you might take so much at a time, and I believe I did that. I think sometimes just the pressure, in my story I mentioned that my friend showed me her schedule, and in seventh grade usually students have the same one. Mine had the extra help class on it, the pressure that builds on that you feel your not as good as somebody and all these silly things just come on to you it stinks. In the chorus the song says "cause when push comes to shove, you taste what you're made of, you might bend till you break cause its all you can take." Which relates to me, because you can only take so much in at a time. I believe this song Stand is another good way to represent what I was trying to put out there in my Literacy Autobiography. There will be times when you do not like or cannot handle certain things, but in the end you will stand and will get back up on your feet again.
